At home.
I am begining to feel that it is time to get back to sea. I have a trip around Africa booked but it is not until next January so I must be patient.

- I am 74yrs young and I have not learned how to grow old gracefully. I have 2 sons,5 grandchildren. I live in a small village close to Beverley and exist quite peacefully until the urge takes me to kick up my heels and take to the road or sea as seems to be my present fancy. 2007 has been the start of my SKI holidays. SKI being an acronym for 'Spending the Kids Inheritance'. I have always been good at certain things but find that I have a real talent for SKI hols. I have practised in 2007, gone on 2 cruises and am about to hone my skills on a 3 months cruise down the east coast of South America to Antarctica. Round the cape then back up the west coast, through the Panama Canal to Barbados etc. This blog is intended to monitor my progress and hopefully inform my sons that I am keeping out of trouble. My eldest, Chris, wants to lend his GPS to me. I fear that I shall need some instruction when I return to Cherry Burton, as I do not think that GPS means 'grandma practising sailing'. I leave Southampton 5 Jan so,lots to do. More from the ship, Saga Ruby I hope. This is completely new to me so I hope I do not mess up, fingers crossed.
